Dungarvan Skatepark · Fairlane
Fairlane’s concrete skatepark combines a bowl with a street-plaza area. The Council’s 2022 opening account describes stairs, railings and benches within the street layout and a 600-square-metre facility. Treat those as documented design features, not measured obstacle heights or a current surface report. The bowl and plaza form one physical park in this atlas.

- Published address
- Fairlane Park, Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland
- Setting
- Outdoor concrete skatepark combining a bowl and street-plaza elements
- Inline access
- Waterford City and County Council explicitly includes rollerbladers alongside skateboard, BMX and scooter users in its opening account dated 5 July 2022. That supports intended shared use, not a live inspection or guaranteed access during an event. Check current posted rules before riding.
Before you travel
The opening source does not establish a current daily skatepark timetable, lighting schedule, toilet availability or admission tariff. Confirm the practical details that matter for your date rather than filling those gaps from neighbouring facilities. Allow enough daylight to inspect the approach, skating surface and run-out. The historical all-ages description is not an individual ability assessment or evidence of staffed supervision.
Find the location
Use Fairlane Park in Dungarvan and include County Waterford in your search. Identify the concrete skatepark after arriving at the wider recreation area; do not stop at the cycle-training track or performance space simply because the same park name appears. Confirm transport, parking and the final pedestrian approach separately. Arrange a meeting point that leaves both bowl entries and street approaches clear.
Exact map point unconfirmed; use the address search and check the result.
Search this location on OpenStreetMap ↗About this map point
The sources identify the park and a named approach, not a surveyed skatepark entrance. No independently verified coordinates are stored. Use the location search, check its result and verify the final walking route before entering active riding space.
Choose bowl and street independently
Watch a complete bowl run before choosing an entry or exit. For street practice, pick one familiar obstacle and check how its approach intersects other lines. The Council’s feature list is not a suggested trick sequence. A companion can use a different area or wait outside the course without being expected to follow your route.
Keep Fairlane’s wheel-sport areas distinct
The Council’s September 2023 update describes a separate BMX pumptrack alongside the existing skatepark, cycle-learning track and performance area. Its track lengths are not skatepark dimensions, and BMX design information is not automatic inline permission there. This guide counts only the concrete skatepark, not each neighbouring recreation activity as another skatepark.
Make a practical visit record
Before leaving, keep the source date and any confirmed access arrangement with your trip notes. If you notice a change, record the exact location and date rather than rewriting an old opening statement as a live guarantee. Use BladeFeed Spots to explore alternatives and the atlas comparison tool to organise questions about surfaces, access and facilities.
Frequently asked questions
Does the pumptrack length describe the skatepark?
No. The 2023 Council update concerns a separate BMX pumptrack. The 2022 skatepark account describes the concrete bowl-and-plaza facility; they are not interchangeable measurements.
Are evening hours and lighting confirmed?
No. The checked sources do not establish a current skatepark timetable or lighting schedule. Confirm both before relying on an evening session.
