Skateanlage Europaplatz

A newly opened skateanlage beneath the viaduct, with Street, Funflow, Big, Jump and Tech sections. The City’s notice dated 2 October 2026 announces public use from 3 October. It replaces the former Weyermannshaus skatepark; an older construction forecast is not the evidence used here for the opening date.

Inline access
The City’s October 2026 opening record includes a photograph explicitly labelled Rollerblade, documenting inline use at the opening. The written profile names shared skate, scooter and BMX planning but does not provide a complete equipment rulebook. Check current posted rules before riding.

Before you travel

The Sportamt describes year-round use, but the checked facility and opening pages do not publish daily hours, a lighting timetable or a detailed admission tariff. Year-round does not mean 24-hour or guaranteed access after an event. Check the current Sportamt page and on-site notices before a late journey, and keep time for a return route outside the riding sections.

Find the location

Use the southern end of Europaplatz under the motorway viaduct, not the former Weyermannshaus location or the Sportamt’s Effingerstrasse office. The facility page links an address search for Europaplatz, not independently verified entrance coordinates. Check the pedestrian approach from your chosen stop and agree a meeting point outside the active lines.

Exact map point unconfirmed; use the address search and check the result.

About this map point

The sources identify the venue or named approach, not a surveyed entrance. No independently checked coordinates are stored. Use the written location and address search, then verify the final pedestrian access.

Read the five sections as different choices

The City describes different difficulty levels for beginners and advanced riders. Section names alone do not specify obstacle heights or tell you which jump fits your ability. Walk around the outside first, watch a full route and choose one controllable objective. Keep a separate waiting place for companions who are not entering that section.

A viaduct is not an enclosed hall

The viaduct location is confirmed; complete weatherproofing is not. Check wind-blown rain, water on connecting paths and the whole run-out before using a line. The construction account describes concrete surfaces over a recycled-concrete base, but that is build information, not a current grip test or a guarantee that every edge is dry.

Avoid the old-location trap

A July 2026 update forecast opening near the end of September; the later October announcement gives the actual public-use date. Older directions to Weyermannshaus should not override it. Save the current park name in your trip plan. This atlas counts the present Europaplatz destination once and does not add the replaced park as another available stop.

Frequently asked questions

Is this still a proposed construction project?

No. The City’s notice of 2 October 2026 announces public use from 3 October, and the current Sportamt facility page lists the completed sections.

Does year-round mean open all night?

No. Daily hours and lighting are not established by the checked pages. Confirm those details before relying on an evening or early-morning session.
