Linz · Urfahr · Austria

voestalpine plaza · Donaupark Urfahr

A rebuilt Danube-side park with a broad mix of street and transition elements. The City’s completed opening notice dates from August 2025, and its September 2026 recreation update still identifies the park at this location. Am Damm and voestalpine plaza are one physical destination here.

Outdoor street and transition park with steel elements
Inline access
The City’s recreation page explicitly includes inline skating alongside skateboarding, BMX and scooters at voestalpine plaza. Follow current on-site instructions and check temporary closures; a shared-use listing does not reserve a particular line.

Before you travel

The 2025 opening record lists a 2,500-square-metre site and 18 elements. It does not establish a current daily timetable or lighting schedule. Check notices and available daylight before travelling. Opening and later recreation reports support the park’s existence, but do not certify today’s surface condition or unrestricted use during an event.

Find the location

Head for the Urfahr side of the Danube near the Neue Eisenbahnbrücke and the Am Damm skatepark entry in the City directory. Its linked municipal map point helps identify the area. Find the actual access and a meeting point outside active lines on arrival; the City service-office address is not the skatepark address.

Only after you choose a park does an OpenStreetMap embed load. That contacts OpenStreetMap and its map providers. The map shows one selected park, not every park at once. You can use the profiles without loading a map.

About this map point

Coordinates come from the map link labelled for this skatepark in the municipal district directory. This is a municipal location point, not a surveyed or accessibility-checked entrance. Check the final approach on arrival.

Choose a route through the mixed elements

The City names banks, curbs, rails, steps and manual tables among the features. Start with one objective and watch the complete route, including where riders return. A large feature list is not a suggested sequence. Keep spectators and bags outside the space needed to enter, stop and leave your chosen line.

Separate adjacent recreation from the skatepark

The September 2026 report describes beach volleyball, calisthenics and ball sports in the wider riverside area. Those are separate destinations, not extra skate features or additional parks in the count. Agree where companions will wait or meet later. An amenity in the wider recreation area is not necessarily beside your chosen obstacle.

Read renewal dates as history, not inspection

The steel elements and entrance sculpture are part of the documented design. Neither the project description nor its sponsor name establishes present grip, temperature, wear or lighting. Look at the actual approach and landing you intend to use. For a clip, keep the camera clear of all connected run-outs rather than following a rider into the line.

Frequently asked questions

Is inline use explicitly supported by a City source?

Yes. The current recreation page includes inline skating at voestalpine plaza. Check current local restrictions as well.

Is Am Damm a second park record?

No. The municipal district name and renewed plaza name identify the same physical skatepark in this inventory.
